The dim sum was first rate. Especially the veggie dumplings and the prawns. But the decor is very strange. Kind of looks like a hospital cafeteria. Still, the food is so good, I will be back.

First time here. This is real chinese food. Ordered tangerine beef, mushu chicken and a crispy shrimp dish. Each one was delicious. A lot of meat and little fried. Just how it should be. Sauces are very good and not what i call "all purpose sauce". Service was quick and the decor is very nice. Definite repeat!

We waited for this place to open on a Saturday morning. Their dim sum was highly recommended by someone, so I felt the need to try. Our first order was pork dumplings, which were fantastic. Everything got worse from there though. The garden veggie dumpling was downright gross, and it seemed as though what we were being served probably had been frozen. Won't be back - still on my quest for amazing dim sum in NYC!

In the mood for some dim sum for a lazy Saturday brunch, we walked up the street to Our Place. I wasn't expecting a whole lot - good Chinese food on the Upper East Side?? - but we were very pleasantly surprised.Standouts were the clams in black bean sauce, prawns in the same sauce, juicy spare ribs, and sweet-savory baked pork buns. Everything else was solidly good. We overate and enjoyed every minute of it.Will definitely go back, and bring friends next time!

Hey, there's decent dim sum on the East Side. Who knew?Granted, there are no carts (you check off what you want and hand it to the waiter), and there's less choice than in the Chinatown palaces. The options are more mainstream, and (no surprise) they're more expensive.BUT the quality is solid, and everything we tasted would pass muster downtown. In addition, the servers and owner are hyper-polite and attentive. I wouldn't hesitate to ask their advice (and I think they're dying to give it). Next time, guys.I still think the interior looks unfinished, but now that they have beer and wine, Our Place is not just for take out. They have a special menu on tap for Chinese New Year, and I overheard regulars already making reservations.

I try to be as nice as possible to my server and have never complained about poor service. A female friend and I walked in today at 2:57. We had seen the menu outside.with lunch specials until 3. The waiter gave us a dim sum menu instead and said the outside, cheaper menu was invalid (bait and switch anyone?). Fine, I asked to order the lunch special and the waiter said it was past 3:00. I told him it was exactly 3:00, not exactly pressing the issue. He leaves in a huff, comes back and says ok. I asked for chicken with cashews with soup and roll and an extra dim sum dish of spring rolls. He goes to the kitchen and returns 10 minutes later.
